Rydon has
now started work on-site with the redevelopment of Parmin Close for
Knightstone Housing Association.
The scheme will deliver a mix of
Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership tenancies and will offer independent
living with the ability for residents to access flexible care and support by an
on-site care team. There will also be an on-site restaurant, communal
lounge, laundrette, treatment room and many other facilities available.
Situated on the quiet outskirts of Taunton, you can enjoy the tranquillity of
country life while still being close to Taunton town centre which boasts
excellent local amenities and transport links.
Of the 78 new homes at Parmin Close, and in a growing market for Rydon’s housing sector activity, 66 will offer flexible retirement living for people aged over 55-years-old, and 12 will provide independent supported housing for people with learning disabilities.
All apartments will benefit from assistive technology which can be tailored to individual needs. Other design features include underfloor heating throughout and wet room bathrooms designed for people with mobility issues. The communal spaces will provide a community feel and will help reduce isolation.
The development is due for completion in summer 2018.
